Nursing Opportunities

Amicus recruit is seeking registered nurses for positions in well-established hospitals and nursing care providers in community and residential settings in most locations across Australia.


What You Will Need

To work as a nurse in Australia you must have:

two nurses

  • Relevant qualifications/nursing degree
  • At least one years’ post graduate experience
  • Relevant clinical experience
  • State nursing registration/eligibility
  • Federal police check
  • Proof of identity
  • Professional references.

You need to ensure that you qualify to register as a nurse in Australia.  The Nursing Council can advise you on the standards and competencies that must be met before you can register with the relevant state bodies.  For more information, visit the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Council website.

Once you have met the ANMC criteria, you can then register with the nursing board in the state where you want to work.  This can be done before you come to Australia – contact us for more details.
